Artist Statement

As a filmmaker, I’m inextricably drawn to the art of street photography.  It’s an artform that stands apart from all others in its ability to see past the noise and commotion, of our daily lives, and past the too-many-to-count transitory events occurring on the fringes of our consciousness.  Ultimately, it’s superpower lies in its ability to both isolate and freeze a one-in-a-million, blink of the eye moment in time, and by doing so strips away all the artifice to reveal an immutable and transparent observation of the human condition.

This series explores our subjective perception of time and the ways in which we feel its passage.  Dan’s Genesis NFT from this project recently dropped on Super Rare.  Dan’s Black and White series titled Unseen, takes its inspiration from the filmic language of Film Noir. It was this genre that initially stirred Dan’s love of storytelling and inspired him to pursue a life in the arts.
